Feelings on AKG C214?
Heard it stated this is a unidirectional 414. I'm aware of the variety of 414's but is there any similarity in sound?

Noisy AKG SolidTube
Bos... (or whomever else might be able to help)
I have an AKG SolidTube that I really like, although in the last week or so, it's become noisy.
When I say "noise", I don't mean buzz or hum, crackling or other familiar signs of problems.

AKG SolidTube
This past week, a friend of mine returned my AKG SolidTube Condesner mic after using it for the last several years.
I had forgotten how warm and smooth this mic sounds.
I know it was never accepted to the level that AKG had hoped for at the time of its release, and my suspicions as to why are below.

new mic for acoustic guitar to replace AKG c1000 ?
I am a hobbyist and have been recording with an AKG c1000 mic for a 5 or 6 years and feel like its time to try something new. I was breifly looking at a RODE NT1A which is around 250$, but am just beginning my search. Any suggestions?
It will mostly be for acoustic guitar (occasionally used for vocals).
AKG C 391 B vs. AT4051
Hi,
I have the possibility to buy a pair of Akg C 391 B or two AT4051.
Both quite the same price (around 400€), the AT4051 slightly cheaper.
One question: are they both true condensor mics, i.e. no electret?

Oktava Mk 012 and AKG Perception 420
Hi all,
I was thinking about getting a pair of Oktava Mk 012
My main interest is to use it live for recording the sound of some dancers and and some instrument (horn+flute), so the room is very important for me.
A totally different alternative would be the AKG Perception 420, that is very sensitive (i need that), but i'm afraid of the feedback during the live.

The Different Versions of the AKG C414 Models
OK, so...
I have an AKG C 414B-XLS. A recent vintage, it has all the fancy electronic switching that they've employed
in their newer versions of that model. Silver-colored mesh, I like this mic for mois better than the U87 in the cabinet.
What is the difference between this one and the C 414B-ULS?
And what can you tell me about the C 414B TL II ?
I have a

AKG C34
Hello Recordings.org
My name is Viktor Reddersen, and I am new to this forum and to the world of different mics as well.
I got an AKG C34 from a closed studio last week. Now; I don't know a lot about microphones, since I'm "just" working as a radio journalist. But anyway I would like to ask you, what kind of microphone I just got.
