I just got EastWest's Colossus MIDI software and I use Cubase to record. Currently, I have figured out how to track the sound from Colossus as just an audio track in Cubase, but not MIDI. Is there a way to record MIDI data into Cubase using the MIDI Effects from Colossus? Is this a "rewire" thing I'm looking at? Any advice?

hi i recorded a song and added cuabse Eq's and effects to it, when i did a audio mixdown to a mp3. file it lost all of this infomation ! is this ment to happen? and if so is there anyway of making it not do it

ok so here is the deal

ive got these equipment running into my asio drives

Line pod xt live - has its own asio drive
Mbox 2 - same thing
M-audio keyboard - interlinks with the podxt drive

Ok so this setup works for me...
Duplex Asio drive:
I can hear the Midi drumkits, i can record the pod xt and listen to everything

i need to mixdown my song which has some guitar tracks and one midi drum track.

when i export it only th guitars come out through media player.

this is because midi is just a signal right- no actual waveforms produced until something triggers it.

in my case, inside Cubase i use "microsoft gs wavetable" or something like that to sound the midi- and it works fine.

how can make a MIDI in nuendo without having to import a pre made one? any one know?

also for Editing what do you think is better

Hello all. I have Cubase LE and jsut added a second video monitor. I can get the transport gui to the second monitor, but con't get the mixer or effects windows out of the first monitor. Any tips? Thanks, Barefoot. (it is HOT here in Ohio!) (I also have Reason 3.0 and can't seem to move much to she second monitor)

I'm newbie to this forum. Got my Tascam 1082 for a two weeks. Right now I'm just warming up for some „real work“ and of course there are problems from time to time.

I'm planning to get a new imac 20 and a Firepod, I know the Firepod has intelmac drivers available, does anyone know if the bundled Cubase LE software will work on the new macs? I've been looking here but no answer so far. Cheers

We are migrating Cubase SX 3 projects (and all audio) from an older PC to a new Quad-core G5 with 2 PreSonus Firepods, and of course the latest Mac version of Cubase SX 3.

FIRST PROBLEM:
Cubase SX 3 crashes when trying to use BOTH Firepods that are connected and setup (as an Aggregrate Device) in Audio/Midi Setup.

So as I said, I am using Cubase sx 3 along side with the PreSonus Firebox. My problem is when I moved on from Cubase LE and changed to using SX 3 I can't seem to get Mic/Inst input 1 to record as anything but mono which ends up panning to the left. The output in effect plays everything to the left as well. If anyone has any advice please IM me on magiCDuff. That's my aI'm name.
