Digital overs
Okay, here's a question for all you mastering engineers out there. How do you deal with a mix that has a few digital overs? Of course if it's a chorus you can often grab a word or two from another chorus in the mix and paste it in. But what solutions are there otherwise?

digital mixer
I posted this in the beginners guide forum, but haven't gotten any replies, so I thought I'd try this one. So, I'm thinking about getting rid of my analog mixer in favor for a digital one (maybe a Yamaha 01V or similar). I need a mixer with similar features to an analog (channel inserts, direct outs, several auxs, etc.), but digital features (automation, onboard dynamics, digital connectors).

Digital Mixer suggestions?
First off, great site! I've learned so much from you guys just by reading posts. Ok, so I have a fairly decent, but low budget home studio consisting of an Alesis Studio 32 board, 2 Fostex D-90s, and a whole bunch of outboard gear.

Hey, i am a newcomer to the board and was wanting some advice. I've been doin some local recording for about a year now, using my digi001. I am wanting to upgrade to a digital mixer and hard disk. I've been looking at the Tascam DM24 as well as a panasonic board, and for the hard disk, i was lookin at the Tascam mx2424 and the Alesis HD24 as well as a fostex.

Good digital piano
Hi, I'm looking for a good digital piano (starting out with piano lessons). I want it digital, because I want to connect it (MIDI) with my computer to do some recording or to play with virtual synths. My budget is around $1500.
Any suggestions?

Recording strings to tape or digital
I have found on a number of CDs where orchestra
was recorded digitally and mixed to digital
a metallic coloration discernible in the strings in contrast to older recordings recorded to analog and remastered digitally.

CD Player digital stream, uh oh.
Something that I've come across on consumer CD players. I bought a new setup for my house that consists of a Pioneer Elite Universal DVD/CD player and a HarmonKardon surround amp. The player is hooked up to the amp via SPDIF connection.

Digital Recording Systems?
Hey all! I've been using an Aardvark Q10 and Aark24 to record stuff for the past couple years, and while I've been very happy with the operation of the soundcards themselves, I've been unable to keep the computer system itself running smoothly.
