So, I have a drummer who is not good at tuning his kit. (this is the drummer in my band, not a client... just a home studio here)

I am great at tuning guitars and basses and wind instruments by ear, with tuning forks or electronically.

Is there anyone who could walk me through how I can tune this 3 pc kit?

Using a SF2 NSKIT for drums.

Sequencing yesterday, the sequences all are not sustaining after the initial 'hit'. So everything is CHOPPY. No sustain on the cymbals. Have no idea what the deal is. If I hold the sustain pedal down it works, but even then on playback I have to hold the pedal down.

Running the SF2 in Kontakt.

I have about $2000.00 U.S. to spend on mics just for Drums and would like to know what I should be looking at. It's very hard to make purchasing descisions where I live because none of the shops carry enough stuff to choose between ( actually listen to ). In Australia, everybody keeps trying to ram RODE mics down your throat but I want better value and sound.

Hi everyone, I want to make a stereo bus of my drums so i can compress it to hell and blend it with the original kit.

Is Phase a problem in a situation like this? :D

I'm a long time keyboardist, short time guitarist, and have never played drums. I just purchased a used Tama Rockstar 5-piece last night to hopefully use in my home studio if I can become proficient enough to record something.

looking for a decent distant kickdrum mic.

I recently created a song using the drum editor and went to mixdown to a CD and the drum editor track did not mix down. I'm using Reason and those MIDI tracks mixed down, so I don't understand what's going on.

I have read the manual and can't seem to find it in there.

hey everybody i'm trying to figure out the best solution for Micing a standard set for an upcoming session...

Hi, has anyone tried cutting small holes in the resonant heads of toms and sticking mikes in there? It works good for kicks and would lessen the problem of bleed. Just wondering if anyone's tried it before I go cutting holes in mine. Thanks, Don
