I'll be one to admitt, I like to lust over certain performance specs that most manufactures post on their products. The one that gets me is, products claiming to stand up to gear costing 5 times as much and performing just as well. A lot of this is very misleading.

I want to use logic (with all it's plugins) but configure audio ins and outs via an ADAT bridge and an 888.

As I understand it, if I use ESB I can only have eight outputs from logics mixer into the TDM gear although I don't know how the inputs for this system would work.

I'm ready to put a DAW together for my gear,, but would like suggestions on boards based on my software choice and card

would appreciate anyone using same gear to let me know their choice of MOBO and RAM etc..

Im lookin to get a new micpre.Instead of askin which one I should get I want to hear them fer myself but I cant afford to buy them and return them.It would be great if I could rent different ones for a day or a few days and try them out on my own recordings before I spend my moneys.Anywhere in the Ann Arbor/Detroit area would be close enough fer me.THANKS RODNEY

I am going off to music school soon and I will be living in a cheap, college owned apartment from which I plan to run my demo production business. This is a rather unsecure apartment in a very populated area where theft is quite prevalent. It seems that I am in need of some type of insurance policy, but I have no idea where to begin looking, how much I will have to pay, etc.

I was in at a local dealer today and tried out about eight different vocal mics for my studio. Audio technica, RODE , Shure, Studio projects and CAD. All of the models I tried ranged between $1100 and $1300 Ausbucks list price and to be honest the two mics that stood out as sounding clean and reasonably warm were the ATM3060 and the CAD M9.
