acoustic guitar pickups sounds faded and quiet
Hey guys, I'm not new to recording and mixing. But I've come across a problem with recording my guitar that's been frustrating the hell out of me.
Okay, so first I'll run off the equipment I'm using: . Acoustic Guitar paired with a Seymour Duncan Woody pickup. . Mixcraft 7 . Behringer U-PHORIA UMC22 audio interface
That's it . Now I'll finally get to my problem.
Recording Vintage Guitar Amps
Hey all,
A friend of mine made some great video demos of 4 vintage guitar amps from the 50's/60's. Recorded in the studio with front and back mics, a hint of compression and light reverb. Details in the article.

DI for electric guitar
I am plugging my electric guitar straight into my RME UFX interface and the results are good.
But would it be even better if i had my guitar thru a DI box?
I am just sitting at home recording into Ableton live and Pro Tools.
I have read some things about how it improves the signal, but is it really necessary in my situation?

Acoustic guitars for recording?
I owned the Taylor 314CE for years and passed it off to my daughter. I need a new Taylor or something comparable to be able to earn some extra income. I don't really want the electronics. I'd much rather have nothing inside the box.

Two mics, different types different distances from guitar... how to check and avoid phase issues?
Been experimenting with using two mics on my acoustic - an SM57 (dynamic), and a single RODE M5 (a condenser). I generally blend these (with the 57 doing most of the work) but the RODE still contributing.

SDC for acoustic guitar (Stereo vs. Mono)
I am looking to record acoustic guitar. A lot of folk and finger picking so low volume playing. Based on what I have read so far I am in the market for Small Diaphragm Condenser(s).
