Mac mastering software

Just wondering if you guys mught have any suggestions for editing/mastering software for the Mac platform. I'm running Logic and am a bit frustrated by it's editing capabilites (or lack thereof). I really don't need "mastering" software, per se, as I'm going to be outsourcing my final mixes to someone more qualified, but I'd like the option to tweak my mixes beyond what Logic offers.

finalizer + sending mastered Cds to manufacturer

Hi, I have a huge workload, low budget project involving 53 CDs of dialogue. and "incidental' music for kids. I need to get it out quick and the budget isn't high so I am planning to buy a Tc electronics finalizer and do everything myself. I know DYI is not a great idea for music, but for this many discs and the nature of the material, volume and clairty are most important.

Mastering, can I do it? Time, budget, limits, I need help!

So yeah, I've been RECORDING my band for a few weeks now, putting in time here and there. We are finish up vocals, unfortunately, we wanted to have our CD release show on May 12th (They will be pressed at discmakers.com, 1000 copies). We couldnt afford to professionally record it, because the average listener won't complain about slight quality issues, if the music is good, it is good.

HELP! Mastering a grand piano

Are there any general guidelines for mastering a grand piano recording?

I've got a stereo-matched pair of Rhode NT5's in a coincident pattern going into a PreSonus Firebox then into my laptop at 24bit/96kHz. I thought I had found a good mic placement (about 12 inches above the strings, and about 12 inches back from the action, where the bass and treble string cross).

Mastering and Dynamic Range

I like my tracks to have a pro feeling to them, but I've been seeing that normally mastering audio engineers have to make louder music every time they master, so every time I have to make a master for a song that I'm recording I see that I have to reduce it's dynamic range more and more to compete with other "professional sounding" tracks because today when you record a song that isn't as loud
