Creating Music for Video

Hey, I happen to be looking for some quick business end advice. I've been researching a bit, but can't seem to find my answer. I've always come to this site and found a lot of intelligent answers (I basically come and read forums here almost every day for a couple years now, and feel I've learned quite a bit aside from my schooling), So i now come asking for a little advice.

Morning all, Dave here.I've been aquiering musical equiptment for a long time now, but it's mainly instruments and amps speakers etc, liveness being the main theme. I've done a bit of recording at home before, but it's all been via 4 tracks, card readers, a desk with 16 line,multi core and stage box and a cheap Behringer analoge interface. The computer is armed with Audacity!

Wednesday 18th, FAB is flying to Johannesburg to attend the South African Music Award Ceremony. Freshlyground's album 'Radio Africa' which FAB produced and mixed, has received 4 nominations for this year's best AC album, best song, best engineer and best video.

How to record live music for demos

I am in a band called High noon I am the lead singer and promo guy and we need to record some demos for night clubs and fans to promote the band BUT I have no clue what I am doing. I was told to buy a snowball usb mic. I also wanna find out how to properly edit the recordings ie what software to buy and look up tutorials on how to use it. can anyone help me out!

Best Stereo Pair for Recording Street Musician

Hi, I'm new here and come form the visual world so Audio is not my forte, but I find it facinating. I need to shoot street musicians with a small crew and am wondering what mics you would suggest? I'm thinking cardioid pattern mics in a stereo (I think they call it XY) type set up.
