hey i was face the problem, wen i was recording the live concert by using firepod 8 track, finally i buffer it den i was hear the noise by the audio.is dat the problem came from fire wire or any else.if any one noe bout tis,please reply me, i was record tru the external hard disk.

Here's the gear: Mac iBook 1.33 Ghz laptop with 1.25 gb RAM, running OS X 10.3.9. PreSonus Firebox with Cubase Le Ve 1.0.7.

the quick rundown: I plugged a guitar in, recorded about 2 minutes of audio, sounds fine. Then I inserted a drum loop and repeated it to the same amount of time. Sounds fine.

Any advice please. I have narrowed my pre-amp selection down to these two : Focusrite Voice Master Pro or a PreSonus Eureka.

Which would be the better to choose or not to choose and why?

Hello! I currently have a PreSonus Firestation. Due to our new band addition we will be needing more inputs then currently on the FS. I was wondering what I could go about doing to have more inputs. I believe I read the Firestation has mLAN because of it's ability to hook up other hardware up to it.

I'm using a RODE K2 and Peluso CEMC 6 to record a guitar thru my Sebatron into the TRS in's of the PreSonus Firebox and then into my powerbook.

how many of you firebox owners leave your box running 24/7?
is it safe to leave it running cause it gets really hot

and can someone tell me what constitutes as being a good preamp? does the firebox have good preamps ?

I am very interested in buying a firepod. I had one question though before i do. I know that phantom power is switchable in groups of four. I will probly (to begin with) only be using 2 maybe 3 condenser mics. My question is is it ok to use a dynamic mic in that group of four with the phantom power turned on. Does it affect the dynamic mic at all if i use it with phantom power on?
