Some info required on Tascam 1800

Hi this is my 1st post so be easy on me LOL.
Can you run 2 Tascam 1800's off the same PC. I am looking at setting up a studio in a spare room for the band I play in and have quite a quick laptop but it has no Firewire so I am stuck to using USB interfaces. I am bought Propellor Heads Record after being a big fan of Reason.

New Tascam 8516B, First impressions with tape

Ok, picked up this with remote, extra cards, 8 rolls of Quantagy (1) not open, MRL Cal tape, Degauser, splice blck, +4 interface and take up reels. Got it for 700, thing looks practically brand new. OK, so I did a quick test to pass some audio straight out of my la 610 with a beta 57 on an acoustic, just to see if I could get everything going, I did.

Mid-range digital consoles- Tascam vs Yamaha?

I will be updating 3 new rooms with mid-ranged digital consoles in the spring 2012, I've been using the Mackie D8b's for about 10 years now. Unfortunately Mackie has basically dropped out of the mid-ranged digital console market after the Digital X-bus (Which was discontinued and buggy, from what I've read).

Tascam Portastudio 414 8 track problem

Hi guys,

For some reason track 1 is giving me allot of distortion. Has the volume pegged pretty much. I tried cleaning the tape head, but it didn't work. Also there does not need to be a tape for there to be distortion. If I just hit play without any tape I get the same thing. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Tascam 1800 USB interface for my home studio

Hello, I need to buy a new interface for my home studio- Normaly things get done one track at a time. but at times a multi track jam would be very helpful. Amazon has two very bad reveiws on this piece of gear. But, they sound like the engineers aren't really pros. Not one of them mentioned Pro Tools 9 or how well this works with that platform.

Tascam us-122 (mark 1) solutions - reaper? Cubase?

Hello. This is my first post; I would really appreciate some help. I should probably stick around and learn more after, though, as I've been recording for a long time. I might have a toughie here, and it's a long question too. I have included any information that I think is valid and probably some which is not.
