can anyone tell me the real big differences between an UAD Realverb or Dreamverb (that is what i have to work with) and a highend verb like Lexicon 480. i do not mean the different in price ;-)

Sorry guys but the UAD forum is down and I feel rather retarded.

quick summary:
3 days ago ntldr files somehow became corrupted. Copying them from boot disc didnt fix it, so I re-installed XP to a second location for a fresh boot.
no information is lost, but I have to re-install everything. Kind of a pain, but it is what it is.

Someone asked for opinions on the UA 4110 or 8110 a while back (March) and no one responded. Does no one own or use one on a regular basis? I know many people have heard good things about them, but there isn't a lot of first person testimonial availible on line and in the forums. Could it be the most amazing piece of vapor-ware ever devised? Sweetwater hasn't had them for almost 2 months...

Im looking at adding another pre/channel strip to my studio but i'm torn between these great units...the Avalon Sp737...UA 6176 and the UA LA-610. Considering I already have an Avalon 747 and a Focusrite ISA 220 the UA choices are looking more and more enticing.

has anyone had a chance to test one of these out? looks like it might be 'the brick' with universal audio quality and sound. the 610 uses the same design and tubes as the m-610, its $1100 counterpart. the 110 is apparently cousins in its class a design with some other great UA pieces. i'm tempted to pick up one of each. i'm curious to see what everyone thinks!

One for the Uad users, is this product one of high quality? do the plugins really off that vintage tube/analog sound to vocals and instruments.

Hi, I've just installed version 4.1 of the UAD1 plugs on my Digi002 PT 7 LE system and activated the demo of the Multiband Limiter; I've inserted the limiter on the master track of a project and I get this situation: the right channel remains unprocessed while the left channel is processed but delayed! I've already tried to change the playback buffer (latency) settings... any suggestions?

can some explain to me exactlt how the Uad by UA work?
I mean I know that it frees up processing power in your computer for plugins, but is it supposed to replace external units(COMPS/EG/etc.)

looking at the 6176, I'm sure some of you have it.

I want to use it to track some things, but also to use the 1176 as an insert on some of my mixes. It looks like all the controls are fixed values/rotary knobs on this box. But I'm not sure... is this case? this would make for nice easy recalls, if I used it in mixing.
