Im getting music mastered and the M.E. told me to send him a data CD with the wav files on it. Just to be clear isn't a data CD a CD-RW?

Adding to that - You want to export 24-bit PCM (.wav, .aiff, etc
Adding to that - You want to export 24-bit PCM (.wav, .aiff, etc.) files at the project's native sample rate.
If you did everything at 44.1kHz, then 44.1kHz files. 88.2kHz, export at 88.2kHz and so on.
Then burn the files to a disc (as MF mentioned) AS DATA. Maybe even throw in a .txt file of instructions or something just to make sure the program doesn't try to make an audio CD out of them (if in any doubt).
By data CD, they mean not AUDIO CD. You can burn both to a CD-R,
