Have a HHB 850 CD recorder. Recently puchased a vinyl turntable.
I can record a vinyl record using the "auto track" feature to number the tracks but the only problem is that the recording level has to be pretty low for the sound level between the vinyl tracks to be low enough for the auto track to work correctly.am thinking about maybe using a noise gate? Will this work and if so what brand and model will work best (just need a 2 channel) have some experience using limiters/gates on live PA sound but it's been a few years..don't want to spend to much (under $500.00 if possible) but if this will work I would like to get one that won't color the sound, just want to keep the record surface noise down between tracks so the auto track feature on the HHB 850 will work with a good recording level. thanks
