Is there anyone that can provide me with the correct frequency for Instruments. what to cut, what to gain what instrument to compress. I am getting a lot of different frequency changes. I know that there is a standard for each instrument.

it's the first 24/96 hybrid CD we are doing

these tracks are all in 16/44
but i wanted to throw them to you guys

does anyone have any suggestions for proper mastering?

what do YOU think would sound good?

I have been using the linn mb in my mastering chain. I have tried a few tutorials as wells as just using my own knowledge of compression and also my own ears. the kick keeps getting burried in the mix and everything gets kind of smashed. expeciallly after adding l2 in the chain.

Here's a new twist on an old idea. Many months ago I posted with an idea for dynamically changing compression attack every time there was a peak in the treble frequencies (snare.) Well, I've revised that sytem to allow setting attack and release for both low bands and high bands of a single-band compressor.

I have never posted in this section before. I know little if anything about true mastering. I understand what it is, and what it is supposted to do to a recording, and I have paid for others to master my recordings.

I bought a vms70 lathe 3 weeks ago and now being installing it.
there are some damages in the circiut breaker but I hope i find a replacement for the damaged IC .

I just bought a G4 Powerbook so I'm wondering.. Is there a better way to get quality mixdowns from my Powerbook than just going 1/8" headphone out to RCA left and right on my standalone Philips CD burner?
