Hey guys, as from the jp22 post i know that a lot of you guys have good advice so ifugred i would ask you a question.

I just got a C414 B-XLS and i was wonderng if anyone has any tips on mcing a guitar cab with this mic. I usually use a 4033 throug my la-610 aaout a foot away off axis. Whcih gives me good result once i double track and pan hard.

I have a RODE NT1 (not the newer NT1A) and am pretty happy with it. I have a ART Pro MPA and ART Pro VLA and am interested in doing a little stereo tracking (upright piano, acoustic guitar)

Thought I'd throw this one out to the group at large. Anyone have any experience recording or Micing a Pipa? (if you've gotta ask what it is, then nevermind... ;-) )

I'm searching for a professional microphone for recording vocals and acoustic instruments. I've heard about the Neumann U87. It should be a very good item for this recording situation but the company Neumann only produces now the new model U87Ai. Can anybody tell me what the differences are between the two mics?

i got my mic working, but whenever i record something now the voice only comes out of one speaker, and ive tried everything but i cant make it come out of both. anyone know what could be wrong?

a couple months ago i purchased a RODE nt1-a, and i just got around to buying the preamp for it today. i got the m-audio mobilepre usb. i have everything set up as it should be, but i dont know how to record anything.

I currently have some cheap CAD mics on my drums that work pretty good but since I'm getting more serious about recording, I'll be needing some better mics. What drum mics would you reccommend?

I was testing different room mics tonight so I thought I would check with the guys to see what you liked. I will post what mics they are a bit later after we get some input.

Hello all, I have one more mic needed before tracking can begin. Hi-hat . I was pretty set on getting a c414 (gold grill) because it can be used on many applications. Also considering a c60 (hard to find, love em!), KM85/84 (BIG Neumann FAN).
Any thoughts or experiences would be much appreciated! Thanx -matt

btw, I record digital and I'm using Avalon pre's. Progressive styles.
