I know the obvious answer is the Benchmark. However, given that everything has the sample rate converted on the Benchmark to the rate that best suits its DA conversion stage, and the signal is then papmpered to sounds great, does this mean that the Benchmark might gloss over some problems with the recording. Is the sound on the Apogee more honest?

I would appreciate if anyone can help me with a problem I have with connecting my mixer to my soundcard.
I been reading a lot of articles of how u can get signals from either the main output or sub output of the mixer to the soundcard. I do get signals but also a lot of feedback and mono sounds.

k, my band and i are going to purchase an mbox to work with for out next CD. i have an imac g5 and it may be possible that i barrow another mbox from someone else. so in this case i would have two. how can i go about taking advandage of 4 inputs? it would be great if i could go with two mboxes into my computer but i dont no if that would work.

Both of these mics served their purpose (vocals mainly) but the Oktava is dull sounding and the 8 Ball almost sounds like you have a BBE Sonic Maximizer on the vocals. maybe I'm just insane.

I recently installed a Proteus X and I'm quite impressed by it. It's certainly very good value for money.

I can play it from my keyboard, a Korg M1 and it seems to work quite well.

However, I've hit a problem. I recorded a MIDI track into Cubasis VST. But I can't get it to play back through Proteus.

I just purchased the Lexicon MPX 550 and have it on a 30 day trail basis, so I must work fast to see if I want to keep it. I bought it to fatten up my vocals. I'm looking for a lush, fat vocal sound. There are 225 presets on the 550 and most of them relate to effects for various instruments and very few for vocals.
