help setting up my mbox

I just recently got an mbox and when trying to install it on my pc I get a message stating that microsoft advises me to stop installation because the mbox doesn't have the designed for windows logo on it. I know you can use it on a pc, so I'm curious what I am doing wrong and/or how do i fix this. Any advise would greatly be appreciated.

Need your help creating a sample.

Back in the day I used Cool Edit to samples kicks/snares from music and save the individual hits as wav files. Now I use Cubase SX 2.0 and can't do it. I'm having the biggest pain in the ass trying to export the sampled hit and only the hit. Is there a free piece of software out there or a full featured demo that will let me do this easy?

Thanks!
