Has anyone used the big ben to word clock a system that doesnt have apogge converters, using RME at the moment, i think its time to word clock my system.

I am just getting started with my Digi 002/PTLE. I want to use the "Audio Suite" effects on my trumpet sound. I have 2 questions which are holding me back as I get started.

How do I apply effects to a track

1. as it is being recorded, and

2. after being recorded?

I get a message that no audio is chosen. Sorry for such a noob question . . . .

I would like to know, or actually I'd like to just hear others' "take" on the issue.. of recording other peoples tunes, or copyrighted material like Wold Horses or BrownSugar but any, not just stones. and what it'd be involving at the lower or home studio-level..produced mp3's or whatever to offer from a website dedicated to self promotion.

2 parts:

1. What are some of your favorite albums, as far as sound and engineering quality.

2. Are there any good documentaries or programs I could get that show bands in the studio actually working, Just to see real footage of albums actually being made? I love to watch stuff like that.

Hi, haven't been here in ages. Everythings changed!

I am putting together a budget laptop DAW with a vx pocket card for location recordings.

Does anyone have any opinions on the quality of A to D conversion on the vx pocket versus that of the M audio Flying cow & flying calf A/D converters (they are budget boxes)?

For some reason I'm still having trouble recording into wavelab 4. I'm running a cable from my dj mixer into my soundcard ( sound blaster) and it's giving me nothing when I try to record. My settings seem to check out, my "line in" on my wavelab mixer and on my sound card aren't on mute, my connections seem to check out. I'm using windows XP & I know it's compatible.

Advantages of Digi 002 (non-rack) over Mbox that makes it worth the extra $$?
