My PCI interface on my trusty M-Audio Delta 44 is getting deprecated, so it is about time to invest in a new interface.

Firewire is going away soon, and Thunderbolt is too expensive, so USB it is. I am using a Windows 7 PC and Cubase 5.

I' ve seen both MOTU UA making TB interfaces for both Mac and PC .
I build my own PC's and now I'm curious as both Asus and Gigabyte have mobos whith TB ports : Asus z87 deluxe/dual, Gigabyte GA-z87x-UD7 TH for ex. Anyone here who had built a PC with TB mobos ?
When I compare theese 2 mobos I got the feeling that Asus has a lot of functions that is not needed in a DAW PC .

I am going to buy for the first time a few sound libraries. I am reading that all of them need a sampler such as HAlion, GigaStudio, Kontakt and so on.
I have Cubase Le Al Elements 6 and also use Max-Msp. Is it possible to read sound libraries with one of these two softwares?

I'm looking into connecting my module up to an ipad/tablet/DAW software to piano set up so I need to look into my options.I'm doing this on a budget so I need recommendations.

So this mixer kicks ass because it's analog, has a ton of headroom, and is warm as a candle. My question is, I've been mixing at unity (master knob at 0) and using the FET transistors for my guitar/bass and vocals (I use an XLR to TS to plug my mic into a compressor pedal and delay pedal and use the FET to overdrive the vocals, it sounds badass)

I record classical music for a long time and already had a setup for recording. But recently, the radio station where I was working has stopped working and some equipment left with it.
I've been using this setup:

I dug my B77 half track out of the closet this morning.

I have a pair of M-Audio Studiophile BX8 monitors (NOT BX8a) that the Tweeters don't work no more. I talk to the parts service of M-Audio and they don't have that part availeble anymore. They send me a list of there oficial service centers to see if by any chance you still got that part in your stock but they dont. So now I have to find a replacement for it.

This evening I had to go train up some novice church volunteers on the basics of operating their sound system. So this afternoon in preparation, I downloaded the manual for their Mackie mixer to print out some handouts from the "Track mark-up sheets" you usually find toward the back of the manual.
