Ever received a letter from HillTop Records?

Hello RO,
just an FYI, I walked out to my mailbox the other day and as I was walking back to the house I noticed I received a letter from a outfit called "HillTop Records".

Now when I was walking into the house I was curious who on earth Hilltop Records is and why would they be contacting me?

I opened the letter and it read:

Dear Bret Norman,

Pair of Good Condensers

I have been looking for a pair of AKG 5600s {I love those things} for about 2 weeks with no results what so ever. Since Im not finding them I would like to ask you all what your opinions are on a decent pair of condensers under say 800 for the pair. They will be used for everything from church choir live sound to recording Overheads on Drums, Vocals, Horns, u name it.

Noob needs recording help

I am the drummer in a small band and we are looking to get into recording. i have the Lexicon omega recorder, but it only records four tracks at once. We have a total of 7 drum mics, 1 mic on the guitar amp, and 1 vocal mic totaling 9 inputs. Is there any way to hook all this up to a 16 channel mixer and then hook it up to the omega recorder? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

New to recording/my gear choice

Hey I'm new to recording and i was just wondering exactly what i needed to start recording my own stuff at home. I write a lot of music and i play various instruments Guitar/bass guitar/piano/drums/saxophone/trumpet etc; Music is basically what i love to do ;my passion. I'm fairly young and i want to start myself off into music as career if possible

sampling rate question...HELP!

so i messed up a clients session for the first time today and I'm trying to fix it for them...

so i used a saved template today for drums and i believe i saved that template at 44.1 originally. and stupidly today wasn't thinking and recorded the session at 48. (I'm not even sure if templates keep the original sampling rate but it makes sense to me)

Singer. So/So, anyway to make them sound better?

I'm currently recording a friend of mine, sadly, singing isn't there best quality. I keep having him sing take after take hoping I can have enough to make something decent but so far, that hasn't been working out either. What do you guys recommend? Is it possible to use a small amount of autotune where it doesn't sound like T-Pain?
