I'm building a new guitar and when it was time to pick out the pickups I wanted to make sure I made the right combination. After a few hours of searching I found that I like the Duncan Distortion (SH-6) in the bridge and the Invader (SH-8) in the neck. Do you guys think this would be a good combination? What combinations are you using? I'm playing Hard Rock and Metal.

I'm wondering if anything is different with a DAW and long runs to mics in another room where the piano is. I need to run about 40 or more feet to Royer R-122 v's, all into my FF800 and soon to be Sequoia 11.

Any suggestions on how to get the best signal into my DAW would be so helpful.

I think this is worth reporting: I bought a MA-200 tube condenser from Mojave Audio about a year ago. Recently, the rubber bands holding together the shock mount disintegrated. I wrote Mojave asking how to go about getting replacements. They immediately replied, asking me where to send them - free of charge.

I hope someone can help me. I have the Roland BR1200CD and I bounced 8 tracks to the 11/12 track, and then I did a Master Tool Box mix down, burned a CD, and saved song when I turned off the machine.

OK, what gives. Recently I've heard great recordings from people using this Mesa 4x12 Rectifier cab so I did some research. This Mesa comes with 4 Celestion V30's and goes for $949. You can get an Avatar cab that comes with 4 Celestion V30's and it only costs $579. Seriously? What's the real difference? Quality of wood/design?

i'd like to record alternative/rock music with guitars bass and drums (influences, paramore, foo fighters, death cab, rhcp, etc.) and i was wondering what the best program for recording was.

Has anyone Tried these headphones? Tape op had an advertisement for them and the big shots seem to like them a lot. Any thoughts or Review would be great. For as inexpensive as they are they could be a great investment for starters like myself on a low budget. :wave:
