Im literally just starting out and have just come to set up my midi keyboard with reason 3.0. I have followed the manuals and connected it properly and used the midi in device at the top of the rack but still i cannot link them together. Feel like ive tried literally everything now. .any advice or help would be brilliant. thanks

Just looking for a simple keyboard to use with an M-Box 2 so i can play sounds into Pro Tools, any in particular i should look at?

I'm using my laptop with Sony Acid Software for the 1st time. I use a Roland midi controller and Roland JV1010 sound module to play my sounds. I noticed that the only way I can really hook my midi controller up to the laptop is by connecting the midi cable from the controller to the JV1010 and then a 9 pin d-sub from the back of the JV1010 to a 8 pin serial port on my laptop.

this is my first topic on this site. i am requesting info on midi recording on Pro Tools. i use the Mbox and am wanting to lay down midid tracks from my DDRUM electronic set. how many can i record simutaniously and is there any tips or tricks out there. thanx a million

could a MIDI cable lenght affect in some way the latency?

So I have been trying to get into recording scene for a while and have been somewhat successful so far. I do, however, have a very small budget (maybe 100 bucks evey few months and $200-300 once or twice a year) so my resources are limited and I have to choose things carefully.

my oxygen 8 keyboard is running through the midi channel, and i can see the signal when i hit the keyboard, but i can't hear any sounds. i get patch files sometimes, but i want to know how to hear them!
