I'm new to Cubase and midi and trying to learn...

Heres the problem. I set a DM5 module up so that it records the midi data
into cubase.. Now i want to get better sounds than the gs wavetable thing has.

So do i need a vst plugin for drums for this? If so, can anyone recommend something good for metal/death metal drum sounds.

Hey. I downloaded some MIDI files of some movie scores to reproduce them using my soft synths and samplers. My question is how do I know which track is each instrument? Is there an easy way to find out, or do I have to try all of them out?

i have an electric kit and i want to seperate each percussion input on it unto my pc so i can

a) pan them so the won't be in mono
b) Use drumagog to exchange the drumkits sound for drumkit from hell (sample pack)

Hi, forgive my terminology, just starting my dive into music/composition.

I wanted to add a midi pad to a drum setup. I want to do somewhat like Neil Peart. A live drum set with one pad, that has say 6 different indivual pads on it. And it will work with my Alesis DM Pro.
Can anyone please recommend one (or more)?

i am using the Arpache 5 midi plugin in Cubase SX. I can hear the arpeggiated notes but would like to record them on a different track so i can view what notes and in what octave they are generated. How can i redirect the output from the Arpache to another midi track. I have tried using the Arpache both as an inser and a send effect.

i'm trying to transfer a song i recorded from my br-1600 to my computer, and i'm using midi because it's the only jack on my sound card other than RCA, which would reduce the sound quality if i used it.

I wanted some comments on how to go about using an acoustic drum set, but replacing the kick drum with a trigger pedal.
Now the real thing here is...I need it to be a double bass setup for the heavy music as well.
midi kick pads? And which one? Or what else is good for this?
