Mixing Techniques - How Do You Approach Your Mix ?
I know this has been covered here on RO in a previous thread "How Do You Mix?", but I thought it would be an interesting discussion to have again as the previous thread dates from 2001.
It would be interesting to hear from members on their style of mixing and the different techniques we use.
"Song For Paris" - Mix & Recording Technique
Hi Guys!
Watched the events of the last week unfold with my wife at my side and a guitar in my hands. This little chord figure worked it's way through my fingers until I decided it had to be recorded on Saturday/Sunday. This song is very much an existential lament. Would love your feedback on the mix and anything else you hear.
Poll - do you mix with or without a sub?
This is a spin-off from my other thread, "Check the low end on this".
I'm interested to find out just how many of my colleagues here on RO mix with - or without - a sub in their day to day monitoring.

Would really appreciate a Mix Critique
Hello everyone,
I am a new poster to the site, however, I am a long time follower! I recently got the Slate Mix/Master/FX bundle, and thought I would upload my first mix with the new plugins. I would really love to hear some critiques and suggestions from other professionals within the industry. If you've got a spare second, I'd really appreciate the listen!

I've been mixing this song for quite a while now and I'm not a professional mixing engineer (which you probably can tell from the sound of the mix) But I would really really be greatful if I could get some feedback on how I can make the mix sound better, anything would be very appreciated
Here's a download link to the mix, the song is called "Rust On a Statue"

New mix - Radio Love
Greetings all,
Next job I wanted to do was remix the song Leigh and I wrote in 1998. Radio Love was recorded along with Eric Heydock on bass guitar and Ritzy members Peter Hughes and Mick Carroll on backing vocals. Also Eric's drummer at the time Mike Copson. Me on keys, guitars and lead vocals.
