Here is the deal, I have slowly and steadily realized after reading for many hours here that my purchase of the Behringer 2222FX may not have been a wise choice. However, that is what we have and we will make a go of it until we can afford better.

I've got a lovely sounding vmp-4000e pre, but have lately discovered a low volume intermittent static coming from channel 2 and some hum in channel 3. Channels 1 & 4 sound clear. I have only just put in an email to Seb, but wondering if anyone else has encountered this in a preamp and what it could indicate?

I've just joined the forum because I am at my wit's end.

I have recently purchased a Rane Parametric EQ (PEQ55) for use in my live rig.
I am a guitarist, so here's the rig (pretty simple).

Guitar (EMG actives) --> Morely Tripler, with boost (for raising signal level) --> Rane PEQ --> Mesa Mark II.

I get a second-long buzz when I copy a clean CD. It is random and infrequent. Any ideas as to its source? It is a Tascam CD-rw4u recorder.
16-44hz.

I have Pro Tools 7.0, and whenever i run amplitube, i get a sustained beep when i am out of record-ready mode, when i turn the gate on in amplitube, it is mostly gone-- unless you listen really closely. I was having a similar problem when i ran drums through the d-verb plugin , id get a prolonged beep when out of record ready.

I always find noise from cpu fan seeping blatantly into my recording. I am recording through Pro Tools digi002R and into a power book. My room is small - around 6' x 7' with a sloped ceiling between 7' - 9' - and recording in another room is not only a hassle, but a technical and logistical challenge!
