Hi all. I just recently purchased a pair of Yamaha hs50m's which I'm using in conjunction with my Focusrite saffire firewire audio interface. To make a long story short I was getting some dreadful noise through the monitors. When I unplug the power supply from my laptop and run from battery power, the noise dissapears completely and my entire system is functional.

Finishing an album, needing a little bit of Noise Redux on a few tracks, and it seems like when I use the software on the programs I have, I either dont get response or I feel like it compresses it rediculously. Someone help with new software suggestions and tips? Thanx-

I recently baught a new computer, setup my m-audio firewire 410 soundcard.

I have recorded a conference where I could not switch of the air conditioning, and so there is a background hum in all my recordings, which are here:

Okay, so here's the deal -

I'm recording a chamber music festival this week and I'm having a terrible problem with noise. Specifically, I'm having a problem in that I'm picking up a spanish radio station as clear as a bell through my recording rig. Here's the problems -

I just bought a micpreamp -PreSonus Tubepre- & I need to connect it on the same USA-EU transformer (they are US models connected on a European plug) of the one which is used to connect a Mackie VLZ 1202.

it makes a kind of buzz/noise which is more than annoying for my voice recordings.

Any ideas to solve this?

Problem solved -- it was a mains earth loop -- one minute fix -- oh joy!

I heard a hum/static through my monitors and headphones when using my Firepod... After a while, I eventually traced the problem to the power adaptor for my Laptop. When plugged in, there is a hum, and when not plugged in there isn't. This must be due to the ground... therefore, I'm trying to figure out the best way to solve this problem.
