Cubasis VST and the Tascam US-224
I just started recording on a Tascam US-224 using Cubais VST (bundles with the Tascam). I am just starting our in recording and was wondering if anyone knew why this setup will only record one instrument at a time?
It has 2 inputs on the Tascam, but the software only recognizes 1.
Thanks!
gofish

Tascam us428 and linux
Update on using a Tascam 428 on Linux. It appears that the ALSA drivers for Tascam USB devices have recently been added. I havent personally tested them yet, but they are there.
It's really a shame that hardware companies think they need to keep hardware specs a secret. This could have happened more than 2 years ago. .

Tascam Online Forum
Anyone know what happened to the Tascam online form?. This used to be a great source for the MX-2424. They said they were updating the site, now I get "not on this server"...and some other meaningless jumbo about server access. I had been a registered member for nearly 4 years.
Thanks In Advance.

Tascam Convolving Reverb
Tascam have announced their first foray into the world of VST pluginswith Gigapulse, a convolving reverb plugin for Windows. The plugin not only allows the user to apply reverb sampled from a real acoustic space, but also offers the option of placing the sound source in one of up to 18 locations within the two-dimensional virtual room.

Converter quality of the Tascam FW-1884
It's hard for me to believe that for getting so much for so little, that this unit would have high quality Converters and Pres. But we are heading to 2004 in such a brave new world :)

Mackie, Tascam or what? Mobile recording.
Hey guys,
I'm looking for an opinion here. The situation, I need to record a minimum of 16 tracks live for a tour(I could use 24 with ease). I am wondering which format is the most reliable at best. I would like to be able to pull drives from the machine and open in PT. I like the Tascam unit on paper because of this feature.
