Best handheld stereo voice recorder for my money
Hello folks,
I am so very new to the recording zone and would love to get some input.
I've been looking on google shopping for a voice recorder that I can use for singing. I'm sure there are much better alternatives to a handheld voice recorder, but that's what I'm looking for.
RECORDED VOX ALWAYS TOO FAST
I've been making music in Logic for a while and just recently began recording vox. I tried using the tracks in the arrange window of logic 9 while making songs and I dont use an external hdd, which some people see as a bad idea, but I have done it. Now for some unknown reason I cant get any vox to lay right.

My new trick - tube and xsistor preamp on a single voice mic!
My apologies if this is "old hat" for the pros in here. I just wanted to share this for anyone who wants to adapt this to their own home studio.
I am always looking for ways to make new sounds. This trick is nothing more than splitting a mic signal and passing it through both a tube and xsistor preamp and recording in the DAW on two tracks.
So this is what I have done:
Voice-over mic AKG C214
Hi
Can anyone guide me as to how will the AKG C214 microphone will be suitable for voice-overs.
Anyone who has used the mic, or owned it.
Have not found many reviews on the same, if can guide.

Voice coil
Voice coil - the wire wound around the speaker former. The former is mechanically connected to the speaker cone and causes the cone to vibrate in response to the audio current in the voice coil.

Basic voice recording tips
I'm a newbie in this matter and I need some help. I have to record native speakers of few langauges. All I have is a mic (MXL 770) and an audio interface (M-audio Fast track USB). How to make it sound professional? Compression, EQ, what else?

Classical voice on low budget
In the next few weeks, I'll be doing a combo video/audio recording of myself singing opera arias with grand piano accompaniment. The room is an open choir room with nice but not excessive reverb.

Least sophisticated equip, software, & setup for simultaneous MIDI & voice
Looking to record keyboard (MIDI) and vocal simultaneously at home. Have had Tascam 122 (never upgraded from Cubase that came w/it in 2005), a $60 Shure microphone, & Windows XP. Biggest question is how to record both simultaneously onto separate tracks. Do I need an interface to do both? Are there interfaces designed to do both simultaneously (as the 122 doesn't seem designed to)?
Voice over Voice acting: which mic?
Hi all,
long time no see! wow many changes here :)
today I have a question for you: which mic would you suggest (with a budget up to 300$) to get the best results from the voice of a male voice actor? (I'll add spider stand + pop filter by default)
many thanks
