How to make my voice sound bigger

I'm working on a song which I'm really excited about, but I can't seem to hammer down the vocals. I know what style I want to sing the song in, a soft, dreamy sort of style. The sound I'm getting is thin and seems too quiet in the mix. If I turn up the volume of the track, it distorts. Should I turn the other tracks down, compromising the big sound feel of the song?

The Voice AC4TV

So this little 4 watt Voice has been getting stellar reviews all over the place, and piqued the interest of those in my little town. I'm pretty seriously leaning towards getting one, primarily for recording purposes and (possibly) small gigs, as I'm not really a guitar player, preferring its lower-pitched, four-string cousin. Has anyone used one, or heard one?

Program to train the voice?

I'm not interest in a course like Brett Manning's. I have a free program called Pitch Perfect Guitar Tuner. When I sing into the microphone the guitar tuner will show which note I'm singing. I want a program that has that kind of capability, where I sing into the mic and it gives me an indication of how I'm doing. Are there any programs that do this?
