Just got a new DAW P4 and running Cubase SX. Having trouble getting the US428 to work. All the buttons are not functioning. I read both manuals and just can't seem to figure out what I'm doing wrong.
Go to Devices, Device Setup. Now go to the Add tab, select the 428 and click on the add button.
Now go to the setup button and highight the 428. Make sure the Midi in and out is set to US428 Control Emulated.

Hit Apply. That should do it!
