Benchmark Mic-Man
Forums
I'm curious about this little preamp. Given the hype surrounding the wonderful DAC-1 at the moment, I was just wondering if they could produce another budget miracle.
Thanks

Reading Neumann SM 69...
Forums
Hi all,
I have come to a realization that I was never taught properly (or found an manual in the mic box) how to read the capsules on the SM69. All I know is the bottom capsule is system I and the top is system II. What exactly does all those dots mean? Thanks!
~D.

Mics picking up dampers too much
Forums
I recorded my Yamaha baby grand the other night and the mics were picking up too much of the dampers. I used one SM81 pointed a little in front of the dampers an octave below middle C 3 ft back, another 81 pointed past the dampers an octave below middle C about 5 feet back, and a Royer R121 about 4 feet from the second 81 to pick up the whole piano. Any mic position tips you guys could offer?

Mic case
Forums
I need to purchase a mic case (for protecting my mic's going to gigs) for appox 12 to 15 microphones. Maybe as many as 25 mic's, or I could just buy two cases.
I looked at the usual places. I'm not too crazy about the ATA stuff or the SKB cases for mic's.
I would like some sort of hard shell design. And I like the silver finish, sort of like a metal looking swirl design.
