Muddy-mud-mud from the stage/soundman setup - help

We play in a 10,000 sf, untreated, 100+year-old brick and plaster church building with 25 foot ceilings and a balcony - and the stage is in a corner. The problem is that the soundman can't clean up the muddy FOH, so he ends up pulling all the instruments out of the mains and pusing up the VOX.

seeking advice for portable multitrack recording system

Hi,
I'm a court reporter from Puerto Rico. I go around lawyers offices and record depositions mostly. I'm looking to replace my standard cassetts recording system with a laptop plus an interface unit that can record a minimum of 4 diferent channels but would like to be capable of expanding to 6 when needed, looking at the Tascam USB 144 at this time.

not feeling music like that any more

One of the things that has been bugging me as of late is negative rappers who only spit about drugs guns and violence and that’s not what hip hop is all about hip hop was made to get people off the block not put them on. I am happy to say that some people are coming out and putting out good music just something to have fun with.

On-Stage Recording Question

I am a bass player by trade and want to start recording my gigs. I will be using my SP C4's into my JB3. Usually the stages are small and we are cramped pretty close in a corner of the room. There are guitar bass and drums. From a few bad experiences with drunk people I do not set my gear off of the stage while I am playing. What would be some options for making a decent recording?
