I have a big issue. I have an Ibanez S470 with the Axis pick-ups and changed the bridge to a Seymour Duncan JB. I got the pup used and wired it the way it was into the guitar. It worked great til a week ago when it stopped working. I did not have access to a solder machine so I just wound the cable around the clems of both the volume and the 5 way switch.

Whick way is the right way to place monitors, is it horizontal to the wall or pointed in and directed at the sweet spot?

The reason I ask is that the manual for my monitors says to point them in, but thats not how I did it in "recording school" nor that's not how its done when I see pics off the big studios.

Hello everybody, I am about as newbish to all aspects of recording as possible. I am a drummer and I want to learn as much as possible. What I really would like to do is: Become fluent in pro-tools, Be able to run the Synclavier or whatever the next best thing is, and be able to write music through the synclavier and record drums to it.

Okay - so in the past, I tried a used SF12 and didn't much care for it. However, I've got a few extra thousand dollars in the budget right now, so I thought I'd give it a try again. Besides, I'm sure that with a little more experience and the right pres and the right placement, I might actually like this thing again since I've been using my Beyers with more and more success lately.

The trailers sounds amazing and the voice over talents so much, Any ideas to find out that sound quality ?
