I just ordered a SM57 because I need a good mic that is extremely flexiable in most applications. I will be laying vocals ontop of my instrument tracks soon. Done a lot of research on acoustics and what not but was curious if the use of a BBE 482 would be a good idea to improve my sound, every signal i've ran thru it always comes out better, wondering if I should take it raw or use it.

Thanks to the pros on this site, in 2007, I built a DAW that could not be any more powerful. I did a lot of research to make sure what I bought was rock solid for audio (and not just a loaded gaming machine).

I have recently acquired a new PC running a dual core processor and 8GB of RAM.
I've installed XP 64bit as it's the only operating system that will support this.
Does anyone here have experience with 64bit?
I mainly use Sonar, Nuendo and Reason, and need to know if there's anything I should take into account before I try configuring it.

I've got a Peavy PV20 mixer, its usb but was just wondering if anyone knows that if i use it in logic it will have each channel on the mixer in logic? Or will it just be in one or two channels?

Hey guy, I don't know if this is normal.
The bass player in my band has a Ampeg SVT 410HLF Cab with a Markbass Little Mark II.
Now, when he plays loud the speakers inside the cab light up. Depending on how hard/loud he plays, the speakers become brighter. I think higher tones make it happen more.

Every XLR cable I have tried on either one of my Dynaudio studio monitors does not fit well into monitor's connector. I can get sound, but the connectors sit in their 'loosely' and does not provide for a stable connection. Has anybody with Dynaudio's have this problem? Please help because this is aggravating.
