i'm looking over the equipment list soon to be installed in a local concert hall i'm associated with... it struck me as strange that the contractor had spec'd out 4 http://www.PreSonus… talking to a Yamaha ls9 digital mixer over ADAT... do i need to be worried about the lack of a master clock?

Need help finding gear in the $300 range
Forums
So a couple of my friends have bands that would like to record CD's, so I decided that I would buy gear and let my friends use it for a portion of their profits. To start out, I was looking for stuff in the $300 range, they're 18-19 years old so we don't need anything fancy just stuff to get the job done and possibly expand it when we make more money and they get more serious.

Any Fireface 800 users?
Forums
I just sold off the old gear I knew so well. So now I'm committed to using the new fireface 800 with my Nuendo setup. In my previous setup with the Yamaha dsp2416 cards the hardware mixer and routing for the card could be accessed directly through Nuendo/Cubase. Changes could be made on the fly.

Just about done with my home studio (pics)
Forums
Just thought I'd share what has been a labor of love for the past 8 months or so. I really should have taken "before" pics because this was a completely unfinished basement with green painted cynder-block walls and a concrete floor that was half tiled with 50 year-old tile. I used my phone for the pics which isn't the best but you get the idea.

Has the Aardvark Q10 seen its day?
Forums
Hi Guys,
I thought this would be a good place to post a question on my soundcard.
I have a small recording studio which I started obviously like so many for my own recordings.

need asssistance please...digi003 and Mackie onyx 800r
Forums
i'm trying to connect my Mackie onyx 800r to my digi003. i just bought both of these units last week. i've read the manual, and as far as i can tell, i'm connecting everything correctly. the Mackie says it's locked to the 003. i think my problem is the ADAT cable. i've never used one, so i don't know how to connect it exactly.
User friendly Drum tracks?
Forums
I know how difficult it can be to get drum tracks down. Micing is a pain, MIDI is a pain, loops don't get you what you want.
I had the same problem. All the new stuff, DFH and the like still aren't intuitive enough for even my wide and technical ability.
But not anymore!

Thinking about new DAW software
Forums
Well it looks like my Digi 002R went south on me last night. Haven't tracked down the exact problem yet, but I've been thinking about moving on from PT Le for a while and this is a little motivation. (I definitely won't be making any decision until I cool down, but I might as well collect information while I'm pissed off.)
