Cubase sx3 input/tempo issue

So I'm having 2 problems. I'm embarassed about them but I'll ask anyway.
I'm using a Sound Blaster Platinum card and I plug my input into the "mic 2/line in" input. For some reason, I only have this trouble in Cubase but for the life of me, I can't find the place to specify that this is the input I'm using! Does anyone know where I can apply this setting?

Will NI's K4 plugs run OK with Cubase 4.1?

Does anyone have any info on this? I know the Komplete stuff isn't 64 bit, but does that matter?
And while I'm on the subject, if the app can address more RAM, does it matter if the plugs are still 32 bit? Could multiple instances of 32 bit plugs address different (and more than 2 gigs worth of) RAM?
Would using a 64 bit os have any effect on this?

Thanks.
