Hey there, the one thing holding me back from grabbing an 896HD is the lack of midi.

recording midi keyboard in Sonar 3

i am having trouble recording my midi keyboard psr 295 usb interface. the problem is
e.g
if i record on a midi track from the keyboard e.g only bass part.
and then try to record a string section on another midi track.
so as i change the voice in the 2nd midi track as string the voice i get from the 1st midi track which was bass, now also becomes strings voice.

Midi Mixup! Please Help! FW1884 & Cubase SX2

What is the best way to hook a midi keyboard (1 midi out port),
a Alesis SR16 drum machine (1 midi in and 1 midi out), a Roland SC8850 sound module (2 midi in and 2 midi out) with a Tascam FW1884 mixer. I've made a few attempts and have successfully recorded midi, but somehow it doesn't work anymore.
Should the keyboard go into the sound module or the FW1884.

Please Help! Studio Midi setup!

What is the best way to set up my Tascam FW1884 mixer with the following.
Roland SC8850 sound module midi in and out x 2, Roland PC-200 keyboard (with only a midi out port), Alesis SR16 drum machine with both midi in and out.
I'm getting some midi sounds but either my FW1884 settings are incorrect or my Cubase SX2 settings are wrong.
Any help much appreciated!

Midi latency, FW1884, and Cubase SX

Ok...I'm an idiot when it comes to midi. I'm borrowing my buddies 49key Radium and hooked it up to the midi input on my FW1884. I go into Cubase SX, add a midi track, and when I play I hear myself playing piano...cool, but every time I hit a key there is a short delay between when I hit the key and when audio comes out.
