Hi,
I'm learning a lot about Cubase SX and things are going well.

I recently created a song using the drum editor and went to mixdown to a CD and the drum editor track did not mix down. I'm using Reason and those MIDI tracks mixed down, so I don't understand what's going on.

I have read the manual and can't seem to find it in there.

Any help would be greatly appreciated !

All the answers you could ever want await you, for the price of a cup of coffee.

Go to Borders. But a coffee (although it isn't very good), pick up CUBASE SX POWER. Or just buy it. Those books have been very helpful to me in the past.

As for an answer. Hmm. What are you routing your MIDI track through? MIDI won't record unless it is playing something. I think I just read that. I'll have to check. But make sure your MIDI track is actually playing an instrument.

Could it be that you need to transfer your midi instrument tracks to audio then export?
I usually record the snare on a seperate audio track from the "drum kit" track.
Strings
Bass
Synths...
Once I have all the midi tracks recorded onto the harddisk I usually mix them to one stereo track and mute the midi audio tracks in a folder. :w:
