Howdy all,

First off, great board, have learned a ton already.

I am having a fundamental issue, though. That is, I can't seem to get my mixes past that 90% mark. They sound good, "rock", etc. But they're a bit congested, despite using EQ and compression on tracks to slot things into place.

What do you think?

Hello folks,

First off, I'd like to give a warm thanks to all at recording.org for their help over the months. but...

I just purchased a MidiSport 2x2 interface. I come OUT of the MidiSport into a Midiman 1x4 Thru Box then into my sound modules. The Thru box has a small green LED that lights to signify it's receiving midi. It does not light up. I have checked all my cables and everything is fine. I assume since the Midisport is powered via USB that it is not getting enough power to operate the thru box.

I'm looking to reformat my 'ol trusty g4 to a dual boot. so i can have osX and os9. then id like to save all my PT (6.1) files to an external 120gb drive and so i can work with my projects on both 9 and X...is this possible? because i love osX but i have a lot of plugins that only work with 9..thus my problem
any other suggestions would be great

Anyone had any experience with this preamp? IYO does it compare well with the Focusrite red amps or other quality pre's? What would be a good "used" price?
