Help building voice-over studio
Hello all. I just found this great forum while trying to help a friend that wants to build a voice-over studio. I work at a post house and have higher end gear and I'm not too knowledgeable of the gear he is aiming for in his budget ($5K to $8K) Basically he wants to have a simple but professional sounding setup that can record 2 microphones at a time max.

Need help in building studio
For a couple of years I've been messing around with my little home studio consisting of very basic gear such as an M-Audio soundcard, Behringer mixer and monitors and ADK/KEL/Shure microphones. With finances looking brighter now I see an opportunity to expand my studio and aquire gear that allows me to record at a higher level of quality.

Building a desk
Hey there, am currently building a desk to house all my gear and any future stuff I get, I won't bore you with all the details as it's been taxing me quite a bit :)
The issue I'm trying to address now is the rack mounting of gear. I am a student on a budget and would rather not fork out for rack strips, but will if I have to.

Building a DAW
Hi, This is my first post on the forum. I have been a FOH engineer for years, but am merging into studio recording. I have a great $80,000 studio I will utilize for this, however there is no DAW, so I will be purchasing one for the place (it would need to talk with a DM2000).

building a soundproof booth
Hi. I am going to build a soundproof booth because I have recently found myelf in a very noisy apartment and soundproofing is the only way to do this. Also, as i don't own the place, I can't really tear down walls or add windows to the apartment, so a booth is the only way to go.

Building my own splitter snake
I am getting into producing DVDs of live music performances.
In order to provide the best possible sound quality for my finished video, I must make a multitrack recording of the performance.
