How do I record guitar though the line in, on acid pro or cubase?

Hey i was wondering if anyone knew a effect or some technique to achieve that backward guitar sound. its late now so ill post a clip in the morning to make the question more clear. i have a machine running mac os x so (intel) and Cubase 4 so if it was an effect it would have to be ub. thanks for all the help.

I have a POD Pro going into a Mesa power amp that I usually run stereo into my cabinet. I have never really given it much thought before, but should I record the cabinet running mono or stereo? I usually use two mics (I5 and some sort of condenser).

does anyone know of an up market mic designed for heavily distorted guitars, something that will retain the warmth and richness of the tone while not hardening at higher sound levels?

I've searched with little success. I just finished the grunt work on an Avatar Vintage Premium-inspired 2x12 cabinet. I have a rear mounted 1x12 and a front mounted 1x12, both are satisfactory.

Do any of you have (well based) strong opinions on this? I'm mounting WarehouseSpeakers.com clones of V30 and ClassicLead80s (wired in parallel if you care)

Hey guys, working on a mix right now... I've got the bass and drums sounding just perfectly and working together great, but the guitars are giving me problems. I can never strike a balance between heavyness and clarity with distorted guitar.

should I go through my Behringer V-amp2 to get a good unike sound then into my Behringer 502 mixer then into my 0404 sound card. Or, just guitar/bass go clean from mixer to sound card, then do the EQ with plugins on Sony Vegas. Thanks for the help.
