Hi all. I would like your opinions on what to do next with this recording.

Hi, I am pretty new recording and just recently got an mbox2 le setup with a macbook pro.

i want to know what is the correct method of direct recording electric guitar. in my case i ve the following equipment.
TC konnekt 8 sound interface.
Genelec monitors.
pentium 4 --3ghz
1gb ram.

I have been trying to introduce some bass sounds to my recordings (mainly acoustic).

I am having little success with Synth Bass's that comesupplied with logic. I suppose what i am after is a good bass guitar plugin - anybody know of one which sounds good?

Do you use as peripherial hardware to record guitars (like compressor, aural exciter, bbe sonic maximizer, etc.), before the signal reaches the amp?

What's your favorite hardware for this?

Thanks to much help from this excellent forum, I am now achieving some great results recording my seven string archtop. I have bypassed the amp completely and am DIing through my very excellent Avalon U5 using both outputs and have a RODE NTK setup in front of the guitar (quite close in front of the pickup) with a Reflection Filter.

I am very new at recording music. I own a Zoom MRS 802B recorder. When I record the bass I plug straight into the machine. The sound is very muddy and far from pure. I was wondering if it is better to mic the amp and record that way. If anyone has suggestions please let me know.

I done. I have never done recordings with electric-guitar and pipeorgan.
