Recording Guitar
I was wondering what your guys opinion on this was. Do you prefer the guitarist to crank up his amp nice and loud or keep it around 3 or 4 when recording? or does it really just depend on the style of music, and/or the amp the guitarist is using. Also are there any other tips that could help inprove the guitar recording?

Recording guitar cabinets - post production
Hey guys, I'm looking for advice on recording guitar cabs, mainly in regards to production... compression, eq, etc... I have my mic placements and things figured out and everything, but I can't seem to get a really powerful sound.. what do the pros do when they record guitars?
Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks.

Doubling guitar
Hey everyone. Im just getting into recording and i want to get the best out of what i have. obviously. lol. haha. I have a digi002 with an apple imac, a PreSonus pre with sm57's and I'm using dual recs and mesa cabs. Im into heavy rock with thick heavy sounding guitars. But i feel like I'm not getting the clarity as well as stereo spread that i want. I know i just have a 100.00 PreSonus pre.

mic for recording classic guitar
I would like to know if somebody of you has used an stc-2 (or even stc-1) by sontronics to record classic guitar and or vocals. I have read a very positive review and I think it could be the right mic for me, having to choose in that price range.
