I read some of your advice & found it very helpful.

I just got a dell 8400 loaded. I got the non intigrated soundblaster card for output only.

I bought the emu for all recording. They are having problems and I am very frustrated. Can I pull the sound balster & use the emu alone for everything. I have the 5.1 sound speakers as well.

Or... can I make them work together?

Is there another combo of cards that would suit eachother?

I am new to all of this... have spent hours on the phone getting nowhere. P
