What is Msg32.exe ? It is in the WindowsSystem folder and crashes every now and then at startup, often twice in a row.It stops Windows from loading. I can not even rename it to see what happens,Windows is using it.Or can I,how?

Is it something that Win98SE really needs?
How do I find out? Or can it be a part of some musicwise unnecessary program, got plenty of them?

When it crashes there are two other programs not responding, Msgrv32 and Csinject. Occasionally I can just ignore Msg32,keep on loading Windows normally after canceling it and everything is fine. Nuendo or Cubase don't seem to need it. So,what to do?

Ahhh...you are in luck my friend!!! I used to have to deal with that myself...I bet you installed a program, made it so it wont start up via MSCONFIG and now the System.ini files are looking for it...I belive it's Nuts and Bolts? Am I correct? I bet it is....lol!!!
Basically you need to go into the MSCONFIG again and look into the System.ini for the load files for Nuts and Bolts if that is what you loaded..it's been a looooong time since I dealt with that so I belive it's in two different places....wish I could remember where they were but thats the issue..if it's not Nuts and Bolts is another program and you need to figure out where in the System.ini files they are...

Grreatt,thank you so much, Opus!

Yes, I HAD disabled everything except scan registry... but some stuff has come up there again because I installed Clean Sweep and a viruskiller later on.This whole virus thing is so stupid, man! Panda has saved my ass a couple of times but then ,on the other hand , you get these byproducts. A separate Netmachine, I know...
There are some practical points using only one machine, though. Like yesterday I modeled my cellar using Acoustic Mirror and mailed the file to a friend right away. No hassle. That Sonic stuff is just great! ( Not to mention the pickles I found down in the cellar,my wife`s stash.)
I also run a hardware DAW with my PC and the masterclock comes from an Apogee A/D so I can live with one PC at least for a monument. Everything stays digital once converted. But when you have 4 X 16 channels of midi coming from a Gigastudio , sharing the system with Nuendo with a million plugs and VSTi:s...
Yes,everyone needs a second PC.
But now I go find the mystery program, I only wonder what ``Nuts and Bolts`` is called in Finnish, perkele.

thanks again mr.President!
