I have a Beta 52A kick drum mic and a Delta 1010LT interface on my computer.

When I keep the Beta out of the kick hole, it sounds decent and there's no clipping.

I have not really put the "comparisons" yet, but this can give you a general idea of these drum heads sound like.

I am a guitar player, not a drummer. I don't own a drum set. However, the music I like to create usually needs custom drum tracks for accents and alternative rhythms.
There are tons of software drum machines around, however most are programmable using the beat grid. When I see that grid, all inspiration for recording is gone. Forget it. It always ends up sounding fake anyway.

i'm having trouble controlling the volume of the cymbals in relation to the rest of the kit when using a three mic triangular set up.

Hey guys, this is my first post.

I've picked up so much from you all, I think it's great that so many people can exchange ideas all in one place, a good way to stop us all from jumping into habits at the tracking stage in particular, full of new ideas to try out :)

When I record drums in my home studio and then play it back, I'm having a problem. When listening through my headphones and computer speakers it sounds terrible, but when I listen through my studio monitors it sounds great. So I have no idea which one I should rely on to tell how the drums actually sound. Someone please help me this is so aggravating -________-

sometimes the drums do the guitar sound inaudible in some parts specially in hard rock guitar distortion if i up the guitar the drums sound no good

how i balance it? using Sonar x1 in pc recording?
