Drum Triggers
Forums
OK, so I am starting my own little studio (really little) and I am looking for somewhat cheap ways to get a really clean really powerful sound. My friend said he recorded with a guy that uses a small pro tools set up and uses triggers for the bass drums and toms. I listend to the recording and holy sh*t was it good!

How to play drum sounds using a keyboard
Forums
Hi there
I use a package called Drumkit From Hell to program drums (i place the audio files by hand in Logic which is time consumming, tedious and boring) but i really need to know how to be able to play the drum sounds using a keyboard. i obviously know that it can be done... but how? What software would i need?
I'm a Mac user, so it would have to be OSX compatible

i need some help. we have no idea how to record our drum set. we have experience with recording guitar and vocals, but not the drums we just got. here is our setup: 5 piece set(standard) hi-hat and crash. we record acoustic guitar and vocals thru M-audio firewire solo recording interface. the guitar is recorded a Behringer b-5 condenser "pencil" mic.

improving bass and drum tracks
Forums
I am mixing something that has poorly recorded drums and bass (don't ask it is not my fault). I'm wondering if anyone has any good strategy to get the most out of this kind of situation.

Recordin keyboards/Drum machines
Forums
Is the best way to record my Korg Triton to D.I. both left and right channels into a decent pre-amp i.e. Focusrite Octo Pre?
Should I record my synth parts in mono or stereo or does that depend on the sounds I'm trying to record and how the fill up the stereo field in the track I'm working on?
Also should I D.I. my Alesis SR16 drum machine through the pre-amp?
