Electronic Drum Kits...
Forums
Hello!
I'd like to get a few recommendations on electronic drum kits. I've done a little research on the web on the various makes/models...But I'd like to get some real world experience.
We'd use these for recording, but primarily for live sound.
Let me know what you think. Thanks!

What are the best Drum Triggers?
Forums
I would like to set up a kit with triggers that are accurate and reliable - does anyone have a suggestion? Also, since I am new to this area here is what I would like to do: Set up a kit put the triggers on the kit and record just the trigger impulses to Digital Performer - no audio samples at this point. Then take the impulses and trigger Drumagog or something.

question...midi data generated by a drum module and triggers
Forums
hey everyone,
I'm new to Cubase and midi and trying to learn...
Heres the problem. I set a DM5 module up so that it records the midi data
into cubase.. Now i want to get better sounds than the gs wavetable thing has.
So do i need a vst plugin for drums for this? If so, can anyone recommend something good for metal/death metal drum sounds.
midi drum pad for use with Alesis DM Pro
Forums
I wanted to add a midi pad to a drum setup. I want to do somewhat like Neil Peart. A live drum set with one pad, that has say 6 different indivual pads on it. And it will work with my Alesis DM Pro.
Can anyone please recommend one (or more)?

Drum and Bass Beat Software VST plugin ?
Forums
I'm a saxophonist looking to create some drum and bass smooth jazz r&b beats. I have Sonar 4.0 and I'm looking for a plugin that will allow me to
create some quick funky beats for my songs, then the plugin will add the midi hits in the timeline for me. The plugin should allow me to change tempo on the fly also. Any ideas?

Drum triggers
Forums
I need to get a trigger for using on the kick drum. There are quite a few different types & brands to choose from. Are there any that are better than others?
I will be connecting it to an Alesis DM Pro (simular to the DM5).
Cost is not a priority, I want the best one available.

I will be recording a Native American drum group within the next couple months and am looking for help with a mic selection. My price range is about 1,000 or less. This mic will be run through a firewire 18/14 and be used along with an Audix drum mic.

Snaredrum and bassdrum eq'ing
Forums
hello there
i have a problem with my drum mix. my snare drum sounds a bit thin. i tried to raise the bass on the eq, but still it wouldn't sound fatter. the other problem is, that when the snare and the bassdrum are played together the bassdrum disappears in the mix.
