Hi guys, most of My samples are made by me, some are sampled right off Hard Rock, metal and alternative albums (these are quite good), and some are from Sample CD's like Drumkit from hell and stuff. I like really thick and heavy sounding bass drums and snares. And nice sweet toms. I record a lot of metal, punk and hardcore here.

kinda lame i guess. has anyone heard the new green day album? the drums are amazing on it. anyways, the kick has this nice punch to it. can someone give me some advice on placement of the mic in relation to to the head to get a nice fast powerful sound like that on the new green day CD. and also the difference of taking of the head while recording and or removing the pillow.

I downloaded the Drumagog demo and I like the plugin , but the demo samples are cheap sounding. Does anyone have this plugin ...is the full thing worth the money? Is there a better way of replacing drum tracks with samples? The drum tracks I tried it on didn't have the best timing so it made them a lot worse and cheap sounding. probably user error.

hi i am getting a Crate CSX8 Analog mixing board. I am going to hook it up to my COMPAQ with Cool Edit Pro 2.0 and a standard soundcard.
I have a question about recording.

I'm wondering if there's a person or a place that i could get some drum tracks from? i dont have a drummer, or a way to record drums for that matter, and when i try to sequence them with midi they just sound fake. id really love some realistic drum tracks that i could build songs around. does anyone have any tips?

well i finally got this great program working.
but now when i use this in conjunction with pro tools it lags and is very choppy.

i am using a powerbook G4 1 ghz. 512 ram.
m-audio radium midi keyboard. brand new.
pro tools 6.4 for osx.

if i max my ram to a gig will this help the problem?

has anyone else experienced this problem?

i am trying to install this thing but having some troubles. its not installing properly from the disc. i got the update file and installed it that way. now i just have to drag the files from the DVD onto my hard drive.

can anyone who has this tell me specificly where the files and folders should go? do they have to be anywhere specific?

i use logic pro 6 which uses audio units.

i'm very familiar with logic, but i'm just now seeking to find a way to trigger a drum sample with the recorded kick. does anyone know if and how this can be done?

I'm selling my Shure PG mic kit on ebay for 220 and I'm looking for an upgrade. I've bought two SM-57s previously and all i need are good overheads and a quality kick drum mic. Any suggestions? I know this is such a common post to ask for recommendations for mics but I figure you guys have definite favorites.
