Kick Drum Mic advice...
Hey guys, I'm about to enter the studio to record drums for my record. The thing is that the studio doesn't have the kickdrum mics that I'm looking for, and I couldn't find anyone to rent me a Shure Beta52. But some guy offered me a mic of the brand I guess it's K&K. the model is B07. .is it a good option?.
Thanks in advance :D

Rock Revival Drum Kit mic technique
I recently read about this technique and gave it a try on the last album i did. It turned out FANTASTIC. Basicly it is a way to pepper in a lo-fi vibe to a otherwise crisp hi-fi drumkit... its a common trend with the rock revial bands like: the strokes, killers, franz f., etc.

looking for a program w/ a user friendly drum sequencer
I have Cubase SX, and after a few months Ive gotten to know my way around a little bit, but it still isn't user friendly at all, especially for sequencing drums. I looking for a program that has bulit in support for EASLIY creating your own drum loops and implementing them seamlessly into your project. Doing drums on Cubase makes me want to stop recording all together. thanks a lot!

Recording a violin and drum duo
Hello all,
I would like to do next month a recording of "folk music"in a valley at the northwest of my province, Tucumán, Argentina.
This recording is very important for me because the musicians are now 80 years old and perhaps soon they will be no more playing.
